Carey Baptist College
Carey Baptist College is an independent co-educational school with two campuses in Harrisdale (teaching K – Year 12) and Forrestdale (teaching K – Year 9). Both campuses are just a short drive away from Mahala.

St John Bosco Catholic College
St John Bosco Catholic College is a private co-educational school that teaches students from pre-kindergarten to Year 8.

Located at 170 Monticello Parkway, Piara Waters, the college is just a 6-minute drive away from Mahala. Students can also catch public transport to and from the school via Bus Route 519.

Parents of younger students will benefit from the college’s Out of School Hours Care facility and Aboriginal Families as First Educators Playgroup, while secondary students can enjoy a variety of clubs and electives based around subjects including music, performing arts, sport, and technology.

Forrestdale Primary School
Forrestdale Primary School is an independent public school that teaches K – Year 6 and offers an early childhood education program.

Located on 35 Broome Street, the school is just a 3-minute drive away from the centre of Mahala estate.

Coming in 2022: Forrestdale South East Primary School
A new primary school that teaches K – Year 6 is being built in Piara Waters. The school will have permanent capacity for 540 students as well as education support facilities for children living with a disability.

The school will be located at 33 Riva Entrance, Piara Waters, and is set to open at the start of the school year in 2022.
